Maui no ka oi, Maui is the best. I have said that phrase so many times, it seems to roll naturally off my tongue. I often tell people who have never been to Hawaii that, if you want to experience all that is Hawaii, Maui is the perfect destination. There are world class beaches, fabulous activities, and world class food and dining options abound. Need some entertainment? To start with Maui boasts no fewer than 8 Luau’s and has comedy, magic, and a couple of “cirque de solei” style shows. At many of the best restaurants, including Kimo’s, Duke’s Beach House and The Hula Grill there is some form of entertainment almost nightly. The sands of Maui beaches are as varied as the people who come from around the world to enjoy them. Here you will definitely find a beach that suits you perfectly. Some beaches are so small and tucked away you'll need an experienced guide to help you find them, while others like famous Kaanapali or Wailea are ranked among the best beaches in the World. When participating in Maui Activities, your choices are varied and exciting. A world of water activities awaits you. There is snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, surfing, windsurfing, boogie boarding, skim boarding, jet-skiing, catamaran cruises, deep sea fishing and charters of every kind that can be found on Maui. Be sure to check out the wonderful Maui Ocean Center, with the kids, it features a 750,000-gallon, open-ocean tank with a walk-through acrylic tube. Take a trek through a bamboo forest and scout for rare tropical birds, hike down an ancient path, or straight up a volcano. Take a road trip to the other side of the island, experience Maui's allure every day. Maui at night includes sunset cruises and Luaus. Be careful or you'll be hooked. As the natives say, "Maui no ka oi" - Maui is the best!

I have been going to Maui since the early 1970’s and I will tell you that I try to play golf as much as I can on the island of Maui. The courses are spectacular and as varied as you could want in a tropical paradise. For many of the sport’s most avid fans, the words "golf" and "Maui" are virtually synonymous. Nowhere else is the Pacific quite so blue, the fairways so green, and the sunlight so perfectly golden. Maui boasts 15 plus golf courses, several of which are ranked at or near the top of the world's best lists. It is difficult to imagine a more dramatic setting for these 18-hole masterpieces, a course like The Emerald Course at Wailea Golf Club with fairways abutting ancient lava flows, tees surrounded by palm groves, and greens arched by rainbows created in the ocean mist. The island is also home to several of the world's most famous professional tournaments, starting with the winners only Hyundai Tournament of Champions played at the famed Plantation Course at Kapalua. I have stood many times on the awesome 18th hole tee and just let her rip down the hill. That tee shot, if you hit it right, will make you feel like you gained a 100 yards on your drive overnight. The locals like to play The Dunes at Maui Lani, definitely a challenging and casual setting. Many golfers claim to have played their best rounds right here on Maui, and I am one of them. Whether you are here for a casual round, or a match with a group of buddies, you will never forget your round of golf here on Maui. I personally can’t think of a better place than Maui for Golf. Golf there is exciting, challenging and unforgettable!
